Chaos Cult

This was a huge Kill Team which is actually made up of 3 different kits totalling 23 models. These make up half of the Ashes of Faith box set and were the most complicated and interesting project done so far.

There is no uniformity and very little repetition across the team which made it more challenging to paint, but also more interesting and enjoyable. Using so many different colours really makes for a chaotic looking team which makes a difference from my usual neat and orderly units. I opted to highlight volumetrically instead of edge highlight which was new for me, this also made it more enjoyable even if rough in a few areas.

They are all based on a damaged red marble which was previously tested on the Measuring Gauges.

Display Board

The display board here is much simpler than my others, but I wanted them to be all squashed together to add to the chaos and help them fit on my shelf with all the other display boards. It’s just a foamcore board with plasticard cut to make the spikey chaos trim and an eightfold star in the centre.

Dark Commune

Accursed Cultists

The Accursed Cultist kit is split into 3 Chaos Torments and 5 Chaos Mutants. This set is easily the most disgusting group of models I’ve ever painted, but I learned a lot and had fun along the way.

Chaos Cultists

These 10 Chaos Devotees can evolve into Chaos Mutants, and if they are exceptionally blessed, yet again into Chaos Torments.
