UCLan Games Jam 2016
Best Blueprints Award
I am very proud to have been given the ‘Best Blueprints Award’ for my work on this project.
About
This game was developed for the annual UCLan games jam, where around 120 year one and two students from multiple courses are split up into 10 teams to develop a game together and learn from one another in the process.
I worked with a team of 11 people and took on the role of gameplay designer. It was my job to bring everyone’s work together into the UE4 project, construct the maps, and blueprint the gameplay. As a joint team leader, I also helped organise assets and workflow pipelines as well as introduce year one students to practices they might be unfamiliar with.
In the end the game came together well, it was challenging to develop with such a mixed team, and with so many different obstacles and distractions over the month. The team was proud of their work and we were all very excited to present our game to our coursemates, tutors and industry guests who would be judging our hard work.
